Welcome, I’m Chad!

Howdy, and thanks for visiting the site. I’m an Idaho native, born and raised in Boise. For more than 20 years, I’ve been producing photos and videos for Idaho’s tourism industry. That work has given me the opportunity to explore all seven regions of the state and tell stories about the incredible landscapes and experiences Idaho has to offer.

Through those years of exploration, I’ve become deeply connected to this place, and this blog is where I share that knowledge and passion with you.

I’ve moved away twice, but Idaho has always drawn me back. My mind and soul feel at home here—breathing in the scent of a warm Ponderosa pine, hearing the steady flow of a nearby river, and basking in the quiet glow that makes Idaho unlike anywhere else.

Thanks and happy travels.

Bike Pocatello | Southeast Idaho

With Idaho’s mountainous terrain and thousands of trails, this state is a real hot spot for people seeking single track. When I think of Idaho mountain biking it used to be, Sun Valley, McCall, and the Boise foothills that came to mind. But there’s one overlooked city in Southeast Idaho that really surprised me on our recent travels.

Pocatello. Yep, that Pocatello. The city that famously passed an ordinance making it illegal not to smile.
