The Seven Devils
Deep in the valley where Riggins is nestled, a magical road climbs toward the Seven Devils Campground on the Idaho–Oregon border. Don’t let the word “Devils” worry you—Heaven’s Gate is nearby, and honestly, the whole place feels more heavenly than anything else.
The drive is slow and winding, but that just gives you more time to soak in the epic views along the way. Once you reach the top, you’ll find a peaceful campground and a small alpine lake.
This makes for a fantastic day trip, or you can turn it into an overnight adventure by making camping arrangements in advance.
